The Problem: Discord Awaiting Endpoint Error
Discord Awaiting Endpoint is a frustrating issue for those who experience it. The problem occurs when there’s some kind of trouble establishing an internet connection and can be caused by either a slow internet connection or another network related factor that may not function properly in conjunction with Discord Server, among other things. When the “Discord Awaiting Endpoint” happens, you cannot connect to your favorite discord server at all which makes this issue one that should be resolved as soon as possible before frustration sets in.

The Discord Development Team is very much aware of the problem and taking active measures to provide a fix to the problem. However, even if they can’t find an answer right away, you don’t have anything to worry about as this is a self-solving issue and usually clears up on its own.
Moreover, we’ve got some solutions that you can perform in your own if ever the Discord Awaiting Endpoint issue crops up. So go ahead and read through the information under!
The Solutions
Below are the 4 methods to fix awaiting endpoint error
Check WIFI Settings and Internet Connection
One of the reasons for the “Discord Awaiting Endpoint” error is network connectivity issues, and there is a possibility that you may have issues with your network connections for the appearance of this problem
Try to check if your connection to the internet is fine by going to any website and see if you can access it. You can also try to “ping” a web address through the command prompt by following the steps below
Step 1: Type cmd in the Windows Search Bar then press enter
Step 2: Type “ping www.google.com” (or any other web address that you know)

If you get a ping, it means that your connection is fine. If not, you can try to reset your router/modem to refresh your connection, then try again.
Modify the Discord Server Region and Server Settings
Another reason for the Awaiting Endpoint Discord error could be that the server you want to connect to is currently down, because as you know, Discord servers are categorized by geographical region, and you get connected to the region closer to you by default because your connection will be optimized and will have lesser lag. However, if the server is down or experiencing a server outage, you will not be able to connect to it, so to fix this problem, what you can do is to change server region.
To change your server location, follow the steps below
Step 1: Launch the Discord app
Step 2: Click on the server then select the voice channel you are interested with by clicking the gear icon.

Step 3: Locate the Server Region Override option then choose another server region. Make sure the region is still close to your location

Try Reinstalling Discord
Another solution that you can try is to reinstall the Discord app. Many users are saying that reinstalling Discord may not be necessary, but the logic behind this is because the “Discord Awaiting Endpoint” error could be due to corrupted temporary cache stored in memory. In this case uninstalling and re-installing it might fix your problem.
To reinstall Discord, follow the steps below
Step 1: Type control panel in the Windows search bar then press enter
Step 2: Select “Programs”

Step 3: Select “”Programs and Features”

Step 4: Hover your mouse over the Discord Program, right click it then select Uninstall

The steps above will uninstall the Discord app, however there are additional steps that we need to do which is to delete the cached files that Discord has left behind
Step 5: Enter “%appdata%” in the Windows search bar then press enter
Step 6: Locate the Discord folder and delete it

Step 7: Enter “%localappdata%” in the Windows search bar then press enter
Step 8: Locate the Discord folder and delete it too

Step 9: Reboot your PC after deleting the cache files
Now that you have completely uninstalled Discord and deleted its cached files, you can now download a fresh copy of the Discord app in its official website and install it again.
